Currently, the SEC has begun reviewing applications for spot cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) from Franklin Templeton and Hashdex. At the same time, it was decided to postpone the decision-making on the approval of VanEck and ARK applications.

Recall that Franklin Templeton has applied for a spot Bitcoin ETF and Hashdex for an Ethereum ETF.

The SEC has a maximum of 240 days to make a decision on the applications. Most likely, the answer will be known at the end of May 2024.

Recall that the SEC systematically postpones decisions on ETF applications. For example, a decision on the ETF application package from BlackRock, WisdomTree, Invesco Galaxy, Wise Origin, VanEck, Bitwise and Valkyrie Digital Assets was expected back in mid-October.
