“This authorization reinforces Bit2Me’s position as a company aligned with local regulatory standards, which provides confidence to both investors and Argentine financial institutions,” the company said in a statement released in Spanish.

In March, the CNV opened the registry for virtual asset service providers, a requirement for companies in the crypto sector that wish to operate in the country. So far, the registry has approved 79 companies, according to an official list provided by the CNV.

In June 2023, Bit2Me raised $15 million in a funding round to strengthen its position in Spain and accelerate its expansion into Latin America. The company has already taken concrete steps toward this goal, including the 2022 acquisition of a majority stake in the Peruvian crypto exchange Fluyez.

Additionally, in 2022, Bit2Me obtained approval from the Bank of Spain to provide services for the exchange of virtual currency for fiat currency and to offer digital wallet custody services in Spain.

Founded in 2014, Bit2Me has become one of the most prominent cryptocurrency exchanges in Spain and Europe. The platform offers a comprehensive suite of services for buying, selling, and managing cryptocurrencies, supporting a wide range of digital assets. Bit2Me is known for its user-friendly interface and commitment to security, making it accessible for both beginners and experienced traders.

Bit2Me also places a strong emphasis on education within the crypto space. The company launched Bit2Me Academy, an educational platform that provides free resources, courses, and tutorials to help users understand blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
