As part of the government program execution of the digital monetary system, the authorities of the Central African Republic launched an ICO on July 25 with an offer to obtain citizenship, virtual residency and land plots under the condition of a pledge of the Sango token for a specific period with a refund upon its expiration.

To get the right to obtain citizenship in the CAR, it is required to deposit a pledge token in the equivalent of $60 thousand for a period of 60 months. It is necessary to deposit a pledge in the equivalent of $ 6 thousand for 36 months when receiving a virtual residency. For applicants for a 0.025-hectare land plot and its copy in metauniverse, a deposit of $ 10 thousand is required for a period of 10 years.

At the start of the ICO, the first issue of 200 million Sango tokens was implemented at a cost of $0.1 with a minimum purchase amount of $100 and a primary sale period of 1 year. The purchased tokens are automatically blocked by smart contracts for a period of 12 months, and the token is scheduled to enter the stock market in December of this year at a sale price of $ 0.45. Thus, in the first days of trading, investors purchased 5.6% of the tokens of the first issue.

In the spring of 2022, the CAR authorities declared BTC a legal means of payment and in the summer, the president Touadera announced the upcoming issue of tokens with government provision of natural resources in order to create a favorable investment climate for international partners.
