The updated technical documentation published at the Cosmoverse conference in Medellin (Colombia) offers a significant expansion of the capabilities of the Cosmos blockchain ecosystem. The documents also outline a new vision for the native ATOM token.

The main role of the hub today is to create templates for building the Cosmos blockchain interchain with the ability to exchange information and assets.

White Paper Cosmos Hub 2.0 presents the updated role of the hub as a blockchain security center and enables other networks to use the hub for universal protection of their native networks. Thanks to the updated documentation, the role of ATOM is also changing, now the token gets an unofficial role as an index of a broader family of Cosmos blockchain networks.

At the time of publication of this news, ATOM was trading at $14.50, having shown a decrease of 1.5% over the past 24 hours.
