Jeffrey Yass is a co-owner of the Susquehanna International Group (SIG) trading company. Jeffrey and his wife are also the 5th largest political investments in 2022, coming in the list immediately after the founder of the FTX exchange Sam Bankman-Fried. However, in the field of cryptocurrency donations, Yass surpasses Bankman-Fried.

In mid-summer, Yass transferred 100 BTC to Crypto Freedom PAC, and at the time of the transfer, the equivalent amount was a record $1.9 million. This transaction was the largest ever political donation in cryptocurrency ever registered by the US Federal Election Commission.

The president of the Club for Growth Action, David McIntosh, associated with Crypto Freedom PAC, said in an interview that Jeffrey Yass wanted to signal to the community about the support of cryptocurrencies and digital assets with his act. It was also noted that Crypto Freedom PAC will support all candidates who oppose strict government regulation of digital assets and cryptocurrencies in the United States of America.

Yass’s donation demonstrates a previously unused direction in the field of fundraising in the political arena. In the current election cycle alone, Jeffrey Yass has donated more than $30 million dollars to PACs promoting conservative candidates, among others.
