French Securities Market Regulator Warns of Bybit Blockage

May 17, 2024
On Thursday, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) reported that the cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has not been registered as a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP). Consequently, the platform is offering services in France illegally.

It is worth recalling that since May 20, 2022, Bybit has been blacklisted by the AMF due to lack of a license and conducting unlawful financial activities.

A similar warning against Bybit was issued by the financial regulator in Hong Kong, expressing concerns about potential investor investments.

Last year, the Bybit cryptocurrency exchange already exited Canada and the United Kingdom due to legislative changes. It is likely to leave France soon as well.
