Donald Trump's presidential campaign began accepting cryptocurrency donations on Tuesday, fulfilling the Republican candidate's promise to become the first major party candidate to accept BTC, ETH, and other digital assets.

This move comes a few weeks after the former U.S. president declared himself the cryptocurrency candidate.

In a statement, Trump’s campaign announced plans to build a crypto army to counter the anti-crypto army led by Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren.

Trump has not yet proposed any specific cryptocurrency policies, but his supporters view his statements and actions as sufficient. This is largely due to the fact that the Biden administration has previously taken a strong anti-crypto stance.

The emergence of cryptocurrency as a campaign donation tool could change the calculations for Democrats. This is evidenced by the Democratic Party leadership’s decision in the House of Representatives not to push its members against the upcoming cryptocurrency policy bill.
