Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum of Dubai, as part of the implementation of the Dubai Metaverse strategy, announced a plan to create 40,000 jobs in the metaverse for people from anywhere in the world. The key task of the region, according to the ruler of Dubai, is the transformation into a global capital of modern technologies and artificial intelligence.
According to Dubai Metaverse, it is planned to attract companies from the field of blockchain technologies as part of the creation of business incubators for foreign companies and startups in the fields of e-commerce, education, medicine, international law and tourism business. At this stage, thanks to the development of VR and AR directions, more than 6 thousand jobs have been created, which generate more than $500 million in turnover for the region’s economy.
Recall that in the winter of 2022, the UAE authorities announced a project to attract companies from the field of digital assets and cryptocurrencies to ensure the most favorable business climate for them. Similar plans were also announced earlier by the Shanghai authorities, who announced a plan to invest more than $50 billion in the crypto industry.
