The bill was submitted in September last year and is currently undergoing the final stage of consideration. After approval by the Lords, the law will be sent to the House of Commons and, with the support of the document by both houses and after signing by the king, the new law will enter into force.
Graham Biggar, Director General of the National Crime Agency, said earlier that for many years criminal communities inside and outside the UK have been hiding their income. Often, when hiding illegal income, attackers use cryptocurrency. The adoption of the new law will prevent such cases of concealment of criminal proceeds.
