According to the press release, Snaps is a new functionality and features that MetaMask customers will be able to use to make their wallet more advanced.
Recall that previously users were able to subscribe to MetaMask extensions. The new functionality allows users to select and connect features outside of the crypto wallet. Thanks to this, users will have access to other networks.
Immediately after the launch of the add-on, it will be possible to select features from the 34 Snaps application. Thus, when Solana Snaps is launched, MetaMask users will have access to Solana asset management directly from their wallet accounts.
