Polygon lands Astar Network as the first user of AggLayer

After plugging into AggLayer, Astar users will have access to liquidity in the Polygon ecosystem, which will allow cross-transactions between Astar and Polygon zkEVM.

Representatives of the Astar blockchain network said that zkEVM will be the first network with full integration with AggLayer from Polygon. The solution will connect the zero-knowledge proof blockchain to other networks in the Polygon ecosystem.

Astar zkEVM is powered by the Polygon’s Chain Development Kit (CDK) platform, which allows users to create their own blockchain with zero-knowledge proof data using Polygon technology.

The AggLayer protocol was launched in February to eliminate the shortcomings of the blockchain and connect the various layers of the Polygon network, immediately becoming a central component of the new Polygon roadmap. According to Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal, AggLayer is ready to bring Internet-scale capabilities to the world of cryptocurrencies.
